Taxiway participates in the 24-hour strike declared by the Panhellenic Federation of Taxi Owners – Drivers and Market Associations (POEIATA), with the aim of protesting against the new tax regulations promoted by the government that burden the industry. The owners of the taxis are asking for the VAT to be reduced to 13%, for the taxation rate to be reduced (26%), as well as for the pre-collection of taxes, for the contributions to the OAEE to be proportional to the income, for a tax-free limit of 12,000 euros to be established , to extend the operation of the current cash registers until the installation of the new cash registers and the normalization of the market.
